This will be my 4th year as a teacher. I graduated from Texas Women's University with a degree in mathematics and obtained my teaching certification in Mathematics grades 7-12 and Physical Education grades K - 12. For the previous three years I taught PE at Comstock Elementary here in Frisco ISD and coached one season of girls' soccer at Scoggins Middle School. I am beyond excited to be joining the Independence family as both a Geometry teacher and girls' soccer coach. Becoming a teacher in Frisco was special for me because I attended Frisco schools starting in kindergarten through high school graduation from Liberty High School. I fell in love with math when I was in high school and knew that I wanted to be the same kind of teacher for my students that I had growing up. I've played soccer my whole life and after suffering injuries that took away from playing after college, I decided to become a coach. This year is going to be amazing and I can't wait to have each of my students join me along this journey, I am so happy to have each of you in my class.
